CFO Eddie Soler: Medicare Manager Extraordinaire

Eddie Soler has a lot on his plate as CFO of Florida Hospital in Orlando. Seven hospitals, more annual patient admissions than any other U.S. hospital, an abundance of Medicare revenue — Mr. Soler manages one of the most complex hospitals in the country.

Eddie Soler is CFO of Florida Hospital.As executive vice president and CFO of Florida Hospital, Mr. Soler oversees all financial duties and obligations, including accounting, contracting, supplies and treasury.

Florida Hospital is also the largest provider of Medicare services. According to the American Hospital Directory, Florida Hospital recorded more than $2.38 billion in Medicare revenue last year. Overall, the hospital has total revenue of more than $8.14 billion and net income of $183.3 million for a 2.3 percent operating margin.

Previously, Mr. Soler was the CIO for Florida Hospital, and he has also spent many years in performance improvement and finance. Before Florida Hospital, he served as CFO of Adventist Midwest Health in Hinsdale, Ill.
