Celebrating its 100th year in operation, the 14-hospital network based in Memphis, Tenn., will spend the next year constructing a new 59,400-square-foot, 49-bed rehabilitation hospital under Mr. Pounds’ tenure. At the same time, the hospital chain will embark on a nearly $100 million initiative to relocate and expand its pediatric emergency department and cancer center.
Mr. Pounds graduated with a bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Mississippi. He is a certified public accountant and a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
