Mount Clemens, Mich.-based McLaren Macomb appointed Brian Balutanski as the hospital's CFO.
Effective Jan. 4, Mr. Balutanski manages the 288-bed hospital's financial functions. He succeeded previous CFO Damon Sorenson when Mr. Sorenson took another position in the Flint, Mich.-based McLaren Health Care system.
Before he was named McLaren Macomb's CFO, Mr. Balutanski served as CFO of 135-bed Chestnut Hill Health System in Philadelphia and held several other financial roles within Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems. He was CFO of 137-bed Lock Haven (Pa.) Hospital, starting in March 2011, and he was the director of financial services for CHS' professional account services. He also was the assistant CFO at Pottstown (Pa.) Memorial Medical Center.
Mr. Balutanski is a certified public accountant with a bachelor's degree in accounting and information systems from the University of Kentucky and an MBA from Middle Tennessee State University.
