Mr. Lopez previously worked as the corporate director of managed care and CFO at both the East Los Angeles Doctors Hospital and the Community Hospital of Huntington Park (Calif.). Prior to those positions he worked for Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanguard Health Systems as controller for La Palma (Calif.) Intercommunity Hospital and for Quorum Health, also based in Nashville, as CFO for Santa Paula (Calif.) Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Lopez has more than 25 years of healthcare experience working with nonprofit and for-profit hospitals, health systems and medical groups. He is known for his expertise in hospital operations, business development, managed care, physician relations and profitability enhancement.
Mr. Lopez earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of La Verne (Calif.), and an MBA in healthcare management from the University of Phoenix.
