CEO Mark Neaman: Devoted Career With NorthShore University HealthSystem

Mark Neaman, FACHE, has been president and CEO of Evanston, Ill.-based NorthShore University HealthSystem since 1992.

Mr. Neaman has spent his entire career in Evanston. He joined the four-hospital system in 1974 after receiving a master’s degree in science, business and healthcare from The Ohio State University in Columbus.

During his time as a leader in Evanston, Mr. Neaman has served on a variety of healthcare-related organizations. He is a member of the American Hospital Association, the regional advisory board of AHA and the board of directors of the Illinois Hospital Association. He is also a member of the National Committee for Quality Health Care in Washington, D.C., and served as the board chairman for that committee. He is also a member of the Commercial Club, the Economic Club, and the Executives’ Club of Chicago.

Mr. Neaman has received national recognition for his leadership in healthcare. He received the “Young Healthcare Executive of the Year” award from ACHE and also received ACHE’s highest honor, the gold medal award, in 2009.
