Zocdoc joins NYC initiative to ease access to care for 1.2M beneficiaries

Approximately 1.2 million patients in New York City will soon have access to Zocdoc's platform that allows them to search for in-network providers. The digital health platform joined WorkWell NYC, the city's initiative to deliver innovative wellness solutions to keep New York City employees and their dependents healthy.

WorkWell NYC has partnered with companies and organizations like Weight Watchers, telehealth provider Am Well and chronic disease digital treatment program Omada Health to offer employees and dependents resources to get and stay healthy.

For its part, Zocdoc allows patients to find nearby, in-network healthcare providers and book appointments online.

"WorkWell NYC aims to bring our healthcare plans into he 21st century — and this partnership helps us do just that," Mayor Bill de Blasio said in a statement. "This sort of public-private partnership is a win-win, providing our employees with a simple and seamless healthcare experience while furthering WorkWell NYC's goal of better use of healthcare to ensure healthier employees and taxpayer savings."
