AC Group wrote that while the overall medical liability for EHRs compared to paper-based records has not been determined, EHRs do present new issues and expose existing liability issues in the healthcare environment.
A review of 65 EHRs revealed that more than 90 percent did not provide sufficient medico-legal training and 95 percent had specific medico-legal issues, according to the white paper.
