ALSAC, the nonprofit organization that supports Memphis, Tenn.-based St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, was listed as the No. 12 company on Fast Company’s list. According to the list, the nonprofit organizes data storytelling hackathons, intern innovation initiatives and enterprise-wide innovation challenges.
This year’s winners and finalists for the “Best Workplaces for Innovators” recognition were selected through an application process, in which organizations detailed their projects, investments, company-wide initiatives and workplace culture. Fast Company editors assessed each submission, supplemented by additional research, to score the companies. The top 125 contenders were then reviewed by a separate judging panel, which determined the final rankings, according to Fast Company’s website.
