What patients want: More digital health services

Patients increasingly value the offering of digital health services and often use the availability of such offerings in their physician selection, according to a TechnologyAdvice Research survey.

TechnologyAdvice Research conducted a survey of 406 patients across the country who had either recently had an appointment or had an appointment scheduled.

The survey indicates 60.8 percent of patients said digital health services are important in  physician selection, but less than 33 percent of patients said their physicians offered such digital services.

Four in 10 patients between ages 25 and 34 said they would like their physician to offer online scheduling, and 32.8 percent of all patients indicated wanting to view test results and diagnoses online.
