What are the best EHRs for specialists?

When it comes to EHRs, the one-size-fits-all approach just does not work. Multihospital systems, small community medical centers to multispecialty "mega" physician groups, single-specialty practices and more use EHRs. The wide variance in practice settings means EHR decisions will inevitable vary. Business Daily News offers two EHR recommendations for specialists.

Here are three key points on each of the two EHR company recommendations, according to the report.

AdvancedMD

•    AdvancedEHR has a $6,000 upfront price. The price could potentially be waived if the user signs a one-year contract.
•    The approximate per-month price of using the AdvancedEHR is $729.  The price includes practice management and the cloud-hosted EHR.
•    Users praise usability, support and specificity.

Modernizing Medicine

•    Modernizing Medicine offers the Electronic Medical Assistant EHR.
•    The EMA EHR costs approximately $500 to $750 per month.
•    Users have also reported satisfaction with usability, specificity and vendor support.
