WebMD Launches New App for Healthcare Professionals

WebMD’s new app, Medscape MedPulse, is designed to curate medial news and information for physicians and other clinicians.

In addition to news and information from Medscape, the free app includes updates on approvals and clinical trials from the Food and Drug Administration as well as the most popular medical articles from social media sites.

“In the rapidly changing world of medicine, physicians need a personalized mobile app to stay abreast of the latest medical developments,” said Steve Zatz, MD, president of WebMD, in a news release. “As the leading resource for healthcare professionals, Medscape will continue developing innovative new products that engage and inform our users anywhere, anytime.”
