Pulsara’s video chat-enabled mobile communications platform will now use Nexmo’s OpenTok Live Video API. Nexmo is Vonage’s application programming interface platform.

The enhanced communications platform will connect clinicians in real time, including emergency responders and critical care teams in hospitals. It will enable HIPAA-compliant video communications that uses encrypted media streams and recordings.

With the new solution, the companies hope to help reduce the medical errors that are a result of miscommunication between clinicians when patients are transferred.
