The hospital currently uses McKesson’s EHR, but McKesson is discontinuing its Horizon platform in 2018, which is why the hospital was looking for a new solution, according to the report.
VUMC currently uses Epic’s solutions for registration and outpatient billing. The new EHR will streamline all patient data into one system.
The go-live date is scheduled for early 2018.
