By being able to maintain patient context while moving between apps, a physician is allowed easier access to patient-centric information that will support evidence-based decision-making. The platform is currently being tested by UPMC cardiologists.
“Our clinicians demand and deserve apps that enhance patient care, rather than detract from it,” said Rebecca Kaul, president of UPMC’s Technology Development Center, in a news release.
