According to the release, the new Quality Health First website lists reports grouped by geographic region detailing how well a physician practice performs in a number of clinical measures. The reports will be updated semi-annually.
The website is part of the QHF Program, a collaborative effort between IHIE, healthcare provider groups, payors and the state of Indiana. Through the program, physician practices are able to review and verify data in quality measure performance reports provided to them as well as update the data via information on file in patient medical records. Physicians that meet the minimum patient population requirements can participate in QHF and are then eligible to enroll in the public reporting program. According to the release, participating physicians receive reimbursements from payors based on improvements in the measured categories.
