University of Iowa Health Care deploys internet of things analytics platform

Iowa City-based University of Iowa Health Care implemented Zingbox, a healthcare internet of things analytics platform provider.

The IoT Guardian is designed to protect and monitor networks of connected medical devices. University of Iowa Health Care has 45,000-plus connected medical devices.

The platform will provide University of Iowa Health Care with a real-time inventory of all devices running on the network at any given time as well as insight into bioengineering operational efficiencies. Additionally, the health system will be able to use the platform to complete real-time assessment of network risk.
