The app, called Baby Blocks, provides pregnant women with a timeline of information to help mothers monitor their own health and stay up-to-date with appointments through a child’s third birthday. KellyAnn Light-McGroary, chief medical officer for UnitedHealthcare, told Iowa Public Radio that the app displays a series of “building blocks,” which represent milestones in the gestational period.
The app offers gift cards, diaper bags and other rewards to women who successfully track their pregnancy milestones, to encourage women to meet all necessary physician appointments.
