The hospital was scheduled to go live on MEDITECH v6.07 in October, but decided to delay the launch to include an oncology module in the initial go-live, instead of launching the module separately from electronic prescriptions, chemotherapy scheduling and patient administration systems, according to the report.
“During the detailed planning, it became clear that it would be far better to launch them together because of the links in the clinical workflow process and functionality,” according to the report, citing update notes from the hospital.
