ReferralMD, a physician-to-physician communication and clinical decision support platform, centralizes the referral management process between healthcare facilities. The platform’s capabilities include ensuring that referrals are not lost through a manual process, automating appointment status updates to referral sources and providing regular feedback to referring providers.

Since introducing referralMD to the department, UCSF Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery has reported 48 percent lower patient wait times and zero lost referrals.
