The survey revealed the top five reasons CIOs are not using data to improve care:
- Data governance
- Limited budgets
- Limited technology/integration challenges
- Data reliability
- Institutional vision
Here is how respondents ranked the types of data or components most important for analytics strategies:
- Patient clinical data (94 percent)
- Provider and financial data (84 percent)
- EHR integration (82 percent)
- Data related to clinical efficiencies (69 percent)
