Tech workers still get paid a premium based on where they go to college, The Wall Street Journal reported April 28.

Here are the top 10 colleges where graduates make more money in tech, according to research from the Burning Glass Institute (with the average annual premium listed):

1. Stanford (Calif.) University: $45,859

2. Harvard University (Cambridge, Mass.): $44,765

3. Princeton (N.J.) University: $44,348

4. Brown University (Providence, R.I.): $39,110

5. Yale University (New Haven, Conn.): $38,096

6. California Institute of Technology (Pasadena): $37,666

7. Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh): $36,004

8. University of California-Berkeley: $35,791

9. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Cambridge): $35,363

10. Pomona College (Claremont, Calif.): $35,360
