Apervita, an industry-scale platform-as-a-service, will enable hospitals to directly submit the eCQM data, helping to streamline the annual process. The Apervita rollout is underway with 500-plus hospitals participating in the initial implementation. The platform allows health organizations to build, deploy and exchange analytics and data applications.
“The ability to receive eCQM data submissions directly from our accredited hospitals has been an important goal for several years,” said David Baker, MD, executive vice president for Health Care Quality Evaluation, The Joint Commission. “The more we can do to reduce the time, cost and resources associated with data and submissions, the more we can all focus on continuous quality improvement while keeping pace with the ever-changing demands of the measurement environment.”
