Below are three things to know about the pilot.

1. NextGate’s MatchMetrix technology platform will act as the enterprise master patient index across each of the 250 participating hospitals. The patient-matching solution correlates patient identifiers to help hospital staff better assess, analyze and improve patient data, care and billing.

2. Through the partnership, THA will aggregate data submitted by the initial 250 hospital members to lay the foundation for improved data management and accurate patient identification, as hospitals begin to eye the move to population-centric care models.

3. In a prepared statement, NextGate CEO Andy Aroditis said, “We are thrilled to partner with THA to deliver data to hospitals and health systems throughout Texas, helping to minimize medical errors, reduce billing issues, improve interactions with patients and enhance information sharing.”
