According to an L.A. Times report, the coroner’s report cited “suboptimal” care on the part of the anesthesiologist. Tamara Walter died on Dec. 26, three days after having a Lap-Band device implanted at the Beverly Hills Surgery Center.
Ms. Walter is the fourth Southern California patient to die after a Lap-Band surgery in the last two years. All the clinics involved have received referrals from the 1-800-GET-THIN advertisements, according to the report.
