“It’s the first time that a company like GE has partnered with an academic center in this sort of relationship,” Larry Kaiser, dean of Temple’s School of Medicine and CEO of Temple University Health System, said in a statement.
Over the course of the collaboration, most of the medical equipment used by Temple will be replaced by GE products, which the system expects to produce results with better resolution, more efficiently and at a faster pace. GE will also supply trained technicians and engineers to service the equipment and help with the transition.
