Several WellStar facilities will use teleneurology and telepsychiatry telemedicine services to offer specialized stroke and psychiatric care. The services will use live two-way cameras and high resolution images.
The partnership between WellStar and Specialists On Call, a telemedicine provider, spans eight hospitals in Georgia. WellStar plans to extend the services to several more hospitals in 2018. Specialists On Call partners with approximately 400 hospitals and systems across 36 states.
