In September, telehealth usage stood at 4.4 percent of all medical claim lines, and dropped to 4.1 percent in October. By comparison, in August and September telehealth utilization rates increased by 2 percent.

Mental health conditions remained the top ranking telehealth diagnosis nationally. COVID-19 dropped out of the top five diagnoses in the Midwest and was no longer in the top five telemedicine diagnoses nationwide.
