Mount Gilead-based OhioHealth Morrow County Hospital has partnered with Columbus, Ohio-based MedOne Healthcare Partners to provide hospitalist care through a hybrid in-person and telehealth model.

The model connects on-site advanced practice providers with MedOne’s remote physicians who evaluate patients via telehealth and collaborate with emergency department staff, according to an April 2 news release.

The partnership provides 24/7 physician support, allowing clinicians to consult physicians in real time and guide patient care decisions. Hospital leaders said the model will help keep more patients in the community by reducing the need for transfers to larger facilities.

The approach also brings experience from physicians affiliated with larger hospitals, including OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital, to support care delivery at the critical access hospital.

At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
