Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health has launched a virtual clinic providing men across North Carolina with access to specialized sexual healthcare.
The health system announced the new service, called Novant Health Virtual Men’s Health, in an Oct. 20 news release. The clinic offers virtual evaluations and treatment for erectile dysfunction and other sexual health concerns.
John Schwabe, MD, the clinic’s lead physician, and Victor Pereira, PA-C, an advanced practice provider, will conduct virtual appointments, review patients’ symptoms and determine appropriate treatment options or referrals.
“Sexual wellness issues like erectile dysfunction can have a meaningful impact on a man’s health and quality of life,” Dr. Schwabe said in the news release. “That’s why it’s important for patients to have convenient, flexible options for how they receive care.”
Novant Health said the service is designed to address barriers that may prevent men from seeking care for sexual health concerns, including the need for greater privacy and flexibility.
The clinic will operate Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Patients can schedule appointments through MyChart or the health system’s virtual care website.
