The state’s largest insurer, Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, recently unveiled Horizon CareOnline, a resource offered through Boston-based American Well where those with individual or family health coverage can quickly be connected with a physician and receive a consultation via video, according to the report.
Additionally, Health Republic offers round-the-clock access to physicians; Aetna offers round-the-clock access to nurses; AmeriHealth New Jersey is eyeing round-the-clock access to physicians; and UnitedHealthcare “has had success with telehealth in other states, including Nevada,” according to the report.
