COVID-19 declines among telehealth diagnoses for September

COVID-19 fell from the second to third most common telehealth diagnosis, according to FAIR Health’s Monthly Telehealth Regional Tracker.

Regionally, COVID-19 fell from second to third in the Midwest; in the South it fell from third to fifth; and in the West COVID-19 slipped from third place to out of the rankings. The Northeast was the only region where COVID-19 maintained its position at second place, according to a Dec. 5 FAIR news release.

Nationally, telehealth utilization remained at 5.4 percent of medical claims in September.
