The ICU telemedicine provider’s system uses audio and visual technology along with real-time patient data to help physicians monitor patients’ medical conditions from afar. The technology can track patients’ vital signs, medications, labs and clinical status. It can also alert physicians to prompt immediate intervention if a patient’s condition becomes serious.

AdventHealth, which comprises 47 hospital campuses and hundreds of care facilities, has an existing partnership with Advanced ICU Care. However, AdventHealth Dade City is the first hospital within the health system’s west Florida region to implement the telemedicine technology.
