The company’s technology allows users to receive remote care for non-emergency situations. It is currently focusing on growing its out-of-network physicians. It is currently operating in 15 states. Additionally, PlushCare recently partnered with Quest Diagnostics, a clinical laboratory services company, for lab tests, which the company can send to a patient’s primary care physician.
“We also believe over time we will see legislative officials create more and more opportunity for consumer-driven healthcare offerings that lower cost and increase patient satisfaction — both of which PlushCare does well,” said Jeff Richards, managing partner at GGV capital, which led the financing, according to the report.
