Sutter Health exec joins Imprivata as CTO: 3 things to know

Imprivata appointed Wes Wright chief technology officer, the healthcare IT security company announced May 10.

Here are three things to know about the executive move.

1. In this role, Mr. Wright will manage Imprivata's global technology strategy and provide technical oversight across the company's overall business plan.

2. Prior to joining Imprivata, Mr. Wright served as CTO of Sacramento, Calif.-based Sutter Health, where he oversaw technical services strategies and operational activities for the health system.

3. Mr. Wright also previously served as CIO of Seattle Children's Hospital and held various roles within the U.S. Air Force.

"After 25 years in the provider space, I was ready for a new challenge, and I had watched with admiration as Imprivata combined a passion for innovation with ground-breaking technology to transform the world of health IT, while holding digital identity at center of everything they do," Mr. Wright said in a May 10 statement.
