Survey: Health IT Staffers’ 4 Most Common Benefits

The vast majority — 98 percent — of IT employees at healthcare organizations receive additional benefits along with their salaries, according to data from a recent HIMSS compensation survey.

The most commonly reported benefits include:

Medical insurance (97 percent)
Dental insurance (95 percent)
Paid time off (94 percent)
401(k) or 403(b) retirement savings plan (93 percent)

Survey results are based on responses from 1,160 health IT professionals.
