Surescripts is already embedded into more than 600 EHR applications, and a number of health IT vendors are already on the Surescripts network for clinical messaging features, including Epic, GE Healthcare, Greenway, Inofile, MEDENT, NewCrop, NextGen Healthcare, SCI Solutions and SOAPware.
“Our EHR integration eliminates the need for providers to undertake multiple and costly point-to-point connections, contract negotiations with multiple partners and other time-consuming processes,” said Harry Totonis, president and CEO of Surescripts, in the news release. “This gives them the ability to cost effectively achieve the scale needed to exchange information with valued health partners and meet the federal government’s meaningful use guidelines.”
