Here are three other findings from the HIMSS Analytics IT Security & Risk Management Study.

1. Only two-thirds — 67 percent — of responding organizations have a full-time chief information security officer.

2. While business leaders primarily see cybersecurity as a business risk issue, clinical and IT respondents view it as a HIPAA compliance issue.

3. Clinicians were more likely than business or IT respondents to claim employee awareness and training are barriers to achieving better security.
