The Cybercitizen Health® U.S. 2011 study also revealed, however, that 140 million consumers have not used and are not interested in using an EHR to view their medical information. The consumers who did not express interest in using an EHR were generally older, less educated and less likely to use the Internet or own sophisticated electronic devices, such as smartphones and tablets, compared to consumers who do view their medical records on an EHR, according to the release.
