Aurora Health Care (Aurora) is the largest health care system in the state of Wisconsin with 15 hospitals and 159 clinics, serving over 1.2 million patients every year. Aurora hospitals are regularly ranked among the best hospitals in the U.S. and Aurora is known as a national leader in health care quality, having recently been recognized as part of The Joint Commission’s 2015 annual report “America’s Hospitals: Improving Quality and Safety” for attaining and sustaining excellence in accountability measure performance.
Aurora will deploy the full StrataJazz SaaS platform for decision support, continuous improvement, operating budgeting, capital planning, strategic planning, long-range financial planning, rolling forecasting, productivity reporting and management reporting.
Strata will serve as a keystone solution to understanding and managing costs. A major component in Aurora’s decision to partner with Strata is its proven track record with Epic, which will provide Aurora the ability to share integrated clinical and financial data in a much more efficient, effective and thoughtful way.
Aurora will integrate StrataJazz with its existing enterprise systems, including its Electronic Health Record (EHR) from Epic Systems and financial application from Infor.
“Aurora is one of largest and the most well respected health care systems in the nation and we are excited to have the opportunity to partner with them,” said Dan Michelson, chief executive officer of Strata Decision Technology. “As health care delivery and reimbursement incentives change from volume-based to value-based, Aurora has been a national leader in developing new models of care. They also recognize it will be challenging to make these new models work without the data and workflow to understand cost and margins. We’re looking forward to collaborating with Aurora in support of their mission to help people live well.”
