Stolen Laptop at San Antonio Metropolitan Health District Leads to Data Breach

The patient data of nearly 300 children may be compromised after a computer was stolen from the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District, according to a WOIA report.

The laptop contained vaccination records of the patients, including names, birth dates, the patients’ physicians and the type of immunizations.

The laptop has been recovered and police are investigated the theft, according to the report.
