Under the agreement, the 96-bed SCH will utilize Wellsoft EDIS in the hospital’s emergency department, according to a news release. Features of Wellsoft EDIS include patient tracking, clinical documentation and charge capture, among others.

“We evaluated several ED information systems and knew we wanted to implement a best-of-breed solution,” said Edwin Leap, MD, medical director of SCH, in the release. “After narrowing down our choices and interviewing current and past clients, Wellsoft was the clear winner. Everyone we interviewed loved it. The ease of use of the system, the variety of usable and intuitive features, and the ability for it to help from a billing perspective were also contributing factors.”
