Spok rolls out updated clinical communications platform

Spok, a Springfield, Va.-based healthcare communications software company, has unveiled its latest version of its clinical communications platform, called Spok Care Connect.

Spok Care Connect allows clinicians to pull relevant patient information into secure messages, such as whether the patient is a fall risk. This feature enables clinicians to add clinical context to their alerts and notifications in an effort to help providers prioritize their responses to patient issues.

"The patient-centric messaging capabilities of Spok Care Connect now allow physicians and nurses to have more clinically relevant information at their fingertips to support care decisions," said Hemant Goel, president of Spok.

In addition to added clinical context, the updated Spok Care Connect platform integrates secure texting services and allows Spok console customers to update their availability via app.
