The hospital, in Valdosta, Ga., is switching from McKesson’s EHR, which is sunsetting its Horizon suite of products by the end of 2017.
South Georgia Medical Center’s implementation is expected to take two years, according to the report.
“We have an enormous job in front of us,” said Raymond Snead, CEO of the hospital, at a county meeting. “The necessity of making this right and not getting caught up in other programs is gong to be absolutely vital.”
