PulsePoint is a free app available for iPhone and Android devices.

Anyone who knows CPR — whether citizens or healthcare professionals — can download PulsePoint. When GreenvilleCountyEMS receives a cardiac arrest-related 911 call, it can utilize PulsePoint’s location-based technology to alert nearby individuals who can perform CPR.

“By engaging trained bystanders in delivering CPR, we can double, even triple a person’s chance of survival,” said Marty Lutz, MD, medical director of Greenville County EMS and medical director of transport services at Greenville Health System.
