The enhancements to syngo.via provide greater functionality and access to workflow-boosting clinical applications. According to Gail Malcolm, director of marketing communications for syngo Americas for Siemens, syngo.via improves efficiency by preprocessing images, enabling easier diagnoses by clinicians.
syngo.via also includes applications for mammography reading — syngo Breast Care — and for complex examinations in neurology, oncology and cardiovascular diagnostics. All of the applications provide flexible set-ups based on the needs and preferences of radiologists. They are also equipped to work with picture archiving and communication systems from multiple vendors.
The syngo.via product received 510(k) clearance from the Food and Drug Administration this week. It should be commercially available in the United States shortly.
