Scott Orava, MD, has been named CMO of Phoenix-based telemedicine software company eVisit.
Dr. Orava comes to the company from Mesa, Ariz.-based Banner Desert Medical Center, where he was an emergency physician. He has experience at 10 different facilities and is a graduate of the Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Neb. He also served as the CMO of Gold Canyon Urgent Care in Gold Canyon, Ariz.
eVisit connects healthcare providers to patients through telemedicine. Dr. Orava will consult the company from a provider perspective and help tailor the product to be provider-centric, according to a news release.
"Bringing someone of Scott's caliber onto the eVisit team is a big deal for us," said Bret Larsen, eVisit's CEO, in the news release. "Scott's expertise allows eVisit to truly understand the pain points our customers face every day."
