The clinic joins more than 5,700 ambulatory sites to reach stage 6, according to the clinic.
Characteristics of stage 6 sites include having an advantage over competitors for clinical quality, safety and clinician support, among others; having an almost fully automated medical record system; evaluating data to improve care delivery processes; creating strategic alignments with medical staff to use IT to improve patient engagement and population health; and more.
“HIMSS Analytics congratulates Sansum Clinic for making significant progress towards achieving advanced health IT adoption,” said John H. Daniels, global vice president of HIMSS Analytics. “Stage 6 represents a level of sophistication that can lead to innovative healthcare transformation.”
