“Our goal is to provide precision medicine through the Imagenetics program so that our physicians are able to provide both personalized care and effective population health management for all Sanford Health patients as part of routine primary care,” Cornelius F. Boerkoel, MD, PhD, executive director of Sanford Imagenetics Research Center on Genomic & Molecular Medicine, said in a statement.
The pharmacogenomics knowledge base integrates with Sanford’s Epic EHR, and will enable physicians to identify the safest and most effective medications. The system also includes critical alerts about toxicity, efficacy and potential known drug interactions.
