Rochester RHIO, an electronic health information exchange, serves 13 counties in western New York state. With the eHealth Connect Image Exchange, radiologists and clinicians department personnel in these 13 counties are now able to access current and prior imaging studies for their patients through the Rochester RHIO Explore portal.
“Streamlining the delivery of external prior imaging studies by leveraging our integration with the HIE will have a significant impact on costs, efficiency and quality of care for the hospitals and other care providers in the Rochester area,” said Gary Larson, executive vice president and general manager of HIE services at eHealth Technologies.
