Bitglass, a data protection company, surveyed more than 3,000 IT professionals, in partnership with the CyberEdge Group and Information Security Community.
Here are six findings from the report:
1. Fifty-four percent of organizations that were victims of ransomware attacks managed to recover data without paying the ransom.
2. Overall, 87 percent of organizations suffered at least one cyber attack.
3. Fifty-two percent of organizations plan on increasing their overall security budgets.
4. Phishing is the top concern for 37 percent of respondents, followed by insider threats (33 percent) and malware (32 percent).
5. The most critical threat management capability for organizations that utilize the cloud is improved threat detection (62 percent).
6. Only 36 percent of organizations monitor mobile devices for security risks.
